Unofficial Websites
Official Websites will be signified by the address “code-two.com” or within the range of Internet protocol addresses assigned to Code-Two. You may find websites over which we have no editorial responsibility or control. Such websites are considered unofficial and include, but are not limited to, websites, web pages, social media, and related electronic mediums of our advertisers, registered members, and other third parties. The Information We Collect
Essentially, there are two categories of information that can be captured through the use of the Internet: non-personally identifiable information; and personally identifiable information. We briefly explain both categories to you below.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
The use of the Internet generally means that information may be collected by the websites visited. One of the most common methods of collecting non-personal information is through the use of “cookies.” A cookie is a small text file that may be used, for example, to collect information about website activity. We may employ cookie technology to identify you, track your use of the Website, to help you move faster through our Website, to estimate our total audience size and traffic, and to help us improve our Website's experience by measuring which site areas are of greatest interest to our users. Most web browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them.
Cookies do not collect personally identifiable information and we do not combine the information collected through cookies with other information to tell us who you are. Our ad servers may also use cookies and other devices to determine, on an anonymous basis, which advertisements have been viewed and who has responded to them, but these technologies are not used to collect personal information about you.
Personally Identifiable Information
Information that may identify you personally include such things as your name, address, social security number, telephone number, credit card information, medical records, and a host of other informational categories that may be used to identify you personally.
As a visitor to our Website, you will see from our “Join Our Force” section that we offer the ability for you to volunteer personal contact information so that we may tailor your request for information with personal information. Specifically, we use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To make our Website easier for you to use;
- To help you quickly find the services that we offer;
- To provide you with our monthly newsletter;
- To indentify zip code activity in order to prioritize the needs of our registered members; and
- To alert you with updated information and new services.
We are not in the business of selling your personal information. We may, however, share information only with our subsidiaries, affiliates, and other trusted companies that we may retain from time to time to perform functions on our behalf in order to enhance your experience with our Website. Additionally, we will share your personal information if required to do so by law.
Children’s Privacy
Code-Two is also committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Code-Two is not structured to attract children. Accordingly, we do not knowingly intend to collect personally identifiable information from any child under 13 years of age.
Changes in Statement of Online Privacy
In legal terms, our Statement of Online Privacy shall not be construed as a contractual promise, and we reserve the right to amend this policy at any time without notice.
Your Consent
By using our Website, you consent to the terms of this Statement of Online Privacy and for our use of your personal information for the purposes given above.
